A generation of Idiots?

I saw this the other day and thought how true it was.  So I thought I'd share it with you.

The day that Albert Einstein feared may have finally arrived.

Having coffee with friends

Cheering on your team

                                                        A day at the Beach

Having a conversation with you BFF

                                                  A trip to the Museum

                                                    Out on an intimate date

                                                          Dinner with friends

Let's make sure that we don't forget the importance of human interaction!  For so many it is a looky-look world and they never communicate a word.  They just spend their time browsing on facebook and the internet and texting.  Here's a challenge: If you see or read something that touches you....take a moment to comment and touch someone else's life.

Happy New Year!

Well it's been a wild and wonderful holiday season and now we are all on to the new year.  Life seems to get busier the healthier that I am.  I am so grateful for my good health!  I begin this year with many things on my plate.  The biggest is planning a wedding and trying to finish my life history.  I am still working on a book on prayer, but that has been put on the back burner until I get these other things up and running.

Because I am doing so well in regards to my cancer, I have decided to only write posts when something noteworthy comes along.  If you would like to know when I do post, click on the right where it says, "follow by email" and it will send you an email when I write a new post.

Writing in this blog has been a huge blessing for me.  I'm so grateful that the Lord has given me the energy to write my feelings as I've progressed through my illness.  This last Christmas, I received a most valuable gift from my kids.  It was a hard back copy of "The Garvin Chronicles!"  My son-in-law, Steve took the time to go through all of my old posts during the last year and compile it into this 224 page book.  Here is the book cover and a few pages of the book.

When they presented the book to me and read the following words, I cried!

Mom,

This has been one crazy year!  We are so glad you've documented and shared with us your thoughts and experiences through this period of your life.  You are one amazing lady, and we're so lucky to be able to call you Mom!  We hope you enjoy your very own copy of your personal scriptures..."The Book of Michele!"

Love,

Steve, Amy, Natalie, Brook, Mya, and Ryan Rindlisbacher

This is an absolutely priceless gift!  There is nothing more important to me right now than preserving my life for my posterity to read later when I am gone, that's why I am working so hard on my life history.

Thanks to all of you who continue to remember me and my husband in your prayers.  We have felt your prayers and are so thankful to be alive and doing so well.  We pray that your new year will also be prosperous.

We will keep in touch!!!!
