Our Baby graduated from BYU on her Birthday!

Happy Birthday Tauna and Happy Graduation – all at the same time!!!!!

Today is our baby’s 23rd birthday and she also graduated from BYU on the same day!!!! We are so proud of her. She has been such a joy in our life. If anyone knows Tauna, they immediately LOVE Tauna. She is full of life and love and has a heart of gold. She also has a really cute sassy side to her personality. I think she developed that to be able to survive her brothers!

Tauna graduated in Elementary Education and now she can bless the lives of many children as she continues her career in teaching school. The last year she has been teaching 4^th grade as an “intern” in the Jordan School District. It has given her a lot of good experience and the kids, as well as her “team” that she teaches with, totally love her. She currently is living in Herriman, Utah and teaches in Riverton. She just accepted a teaching position at Rosamond Elementary School and will be teaching 1^st grade next year. It will be quite a change for her, but she is excited for the challenge.

Michele's Current Status

Michele's cancer was first diagnosed as Ovarian Stage IIIC - but after surgery was upgraded to Stage IV. Her surgery (Oct. 3, 2011) was very extensive, as the cancer had metastasized to other areas in the abdomen. She had a radical hysterectomy, 5 1/2 inches of the bowel taken out, plus her spleen, and 2 1/2 inches of her diaphragm.

After multiple rounds of chemotherapy the Ovarian cancer returned in full force earlier in 2014. Michele's health continues to decline and on July 23, 2014 she was placed under Hospice care in the comfort of her home. Despite being near the end, she continues to inspire those around her.

I'm A Mormon!

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and that he personally died for me. I know that he not only suffered for my sins, but also my pains, which means so very much to me at this point in my life. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me personally. I know he has a plan for me and watches over me. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and was divinely called by God to translate the Book of Mormon. I love the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it and taught it throughout my life and the more I abide by it's teachings, the happier I am. I know that we have living prophets today, just like we did in the Old Testament. I believe and honor those prophets just like I do the living ones today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet, just like Moses and Abraham of old. He has been called to lead us in these last days before the Savior returns for a second time. I'm grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever!
